MANAGER,
GENERAL LEDGER & REPORTING
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal
entries and supporting schedules
- Maintain the general ledger,
account and inter-company/bank reconciliation
- Assist in analysis of variances
and trends
- Review all legal entities
general ledger transactions and balances
- Liaison with external auditors,
IRAS and tax agents for GST and corporate tax matters
- Coordinate and prepare audit
and review schedules
- Responsible for the General
Ledger function, publication of the Statutory Accounts of the Oil Trading,
Bunkering and FSU division legal entities accounts
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register
and implement policies and guidelines to safeguard company fixed assets
- Ensure accuracy of data imports
for financial Reporting
- Manage tax exposure and
effective tax payable.
- Investigate and resolve issues
impacting P&L performance.
- Coordinate annual business
plan/budget with business units, special projects that required financial
analysis and quarterly forecast update of the annual budget
Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor of
Accountancy or ACCA
- Conversant with integrated
financial systems application for example SAP and Oracles
- Sound knowledge of
International and Financial Reporting Standards especially FRS 39
- At least 3 years working
experience in a managerial position in an oil commodity trading company
- Ability to work within a team
environment and remain flexible in a fast paced and rapidly changing
environment
- Experience with CODA/ SAP/
Oracle financial system
- Demonstrate ability to prepare
and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports
